I started this blog here because as a way to connect with other runners out there like me and to journal my training efforts in whatever route my running took me. The camaraderie amongst the runner bloggers out there is just simply outstanding.
Because February is not only my blogiversary month, it is also my birthday month so I do have a line up of awesomeness planned for this month (so keep coming back!!!).
To kick things off, I have an incredible giveaway from Kara at Chickbands. A few months ago I won my 1st Chickband from Heather. Immediately, Kara got in touch with me and we worked together through emails to choose the right band for me. I ordered the purple sparkly. When it came, it was love at first sight. First off, I love purple. Secondly, it was sparkly!
my purple sparkly and red sparkly - can you tell I'm loving the sparkly bands lately?
I loved the band so much, I bought Izzy her own bands - a purple one to match me and a ladybug one. I should mention, I did get a red sparkly one for me as well. Again, Kara was incredible. She made sure I ordered the right size for Izzy's head. I love that they are custom made.

Kara has an incredible selection of bands to choose from - she has the sparkly ones, cute little girl ones, argyle, flowers, you name it. Plus, she is constantly adding new prints to her store.
Also, if you'd like a personalized headband - please see Kara's facebook wall for a post and information. I just ordered one for Izzy and I think some of my Rail Trail Chicks are going to be getting some!
While it's a bit too cold to wear my Chickbands running right now - I've been sporting my headbands at school and to yoga. They look great and don't slip at all. I can't wait until I no longer need a hat to run - then I can start wearing my Chickbands again!
Do you know how hard it is to take a picture at this angle?
I must have taken at least 20.
Tucker is getting better at photography - thank goodness.
Can you see the little purple band on my head?
It stayed in place UNDER my hat for my pre-yoga run and throughout yoga.
Impressive is all I have to say about that.
Now, because Kara is the best ever, she has offered a Chickband to 3 lucky winners. All you need to do is follow the steps in the Rafflecopter below (I really hope it works! I'm trying it out for the first time ever today!).
Before I forget, I need to announce the winner of the Navitas Giveaway - Kim. Congratulations! Please email me with your Navitas choice and shipping address within 48 hours.
